      <title>Nottinghamshire Supporting People Safeguarding Project</title>

      <description>In 2007, Nottinghamshire Supporting People Partnership (referred to in this report as SP) obtained a grant of &amp;pound;52,000 from the Commissioning Body to promote good practice in adult safeguarding in housing related support.&amp;nbsp;The Safeguarding Project started in October 2008 with the appointment of an independent consultant, Gabriella Machokas, as Partnership Officer for Safeguarding, with support from administrative assistant Cherie Hayles. The brief was to research, design and deliver the Safeguarding Project within the resources and timescale available.</description>

      <title>2010 Homeless World Cup competition</title>

      <description>The Big Issue in the North together with a number of Premier league and Football League Clubs organise and selects the England team that travels to compete in the annual Homeless World Cup competition. The next competition takes place in Rio de Janeiro in September 2010. The Homeless world cup is a competition that aims to use the power of football for the purposes of social inclusion, to highlight the issue of homelessness and to transform people&amp;rsquo;s lives around the world.&amp;nbsp; The process of selection begins in January 2010 with regional open trials across various venues in England. </description>
