Further dates for Supporting People Adult Safeguarding Training Programme

An Introduction to Adult Safeguarding

This training is designed for support staff and basic grade workers who have face to face contact with service users and need an introduction to the principles of adult safeguarding. It will cover what to do as the ‘alerter’ if they suspect a service user is at risk of abuse, or if abuse is disclosed or observed.

The training is a three and a half hour session in either central Nottingham or Mansfield. The teaching method is a mixture of presentation, group work, and video and is suitable for new staff and those with little prior experience or formal knowledge of how to identify and react in suspected abuse cases.

Learning outcomes for the course and the booking form with dates can be found below. Training sessions will be run until January 20th 2010.

This will be the final programme of adult safeguarding training to be provided via Supporting People, so please do ensure that your organisation and staff are able to benefit.

Please note that the form requires approval from the line manager. There is no charge for the training but if a delegate does not attend without giving prior notice, your organisation will be charged £30.
