Nottinghamshire, Nottingham and Northamptonshire Supporting People Teams were all awarded regional champion status by the Communities and Local Government Department (CLG), for the following areas;
Nottinghamshire - Performance monitoring
Nottingham - Streamlining referral and access arrangements
Northamptonshire - Outcome based commissioning
The three teams have joined forces to produce a CD-ROM with useful information about each of these areas. Contact us for a copy of the CD-ROM.
Background to "Regional Champion" status
Extract from Communities and Local Government website (www.spkweb.org.uk);
"Promoting and sharing positive practice is essential to the effective delivery of the Supporting People programme. CLG are fully aware that many authorities are doing effective and innovative work both at a local and regional level. Building from this, we want to support and enhance the regional networks, and also extend them to ensure information and practice sharing nationally, through the appointment of Regional Champions. Supporting People Teams were invited to apply to become a Regional Champion in January 2007."
