Supporting People Strategy

In autumn 2002, Nottinghamshire Supporting People Partnership produced a Shadow Supporting People Strategy outlining how we would deliver Supporting People in the County during the first year of the Programme.

The 5 Year Strategy builds on this and covers the period 2005 – 2010.  The Strategy sets out what we want to see from Supporting People services in Nottinghamshire during this time and outlines how we will shape services to ensure that this is achieved in practice.

The strategy is in four main parts:

 1.      PART A: gives background information about the Programme and provides an overview of current Supporting People services and structures within the County

2.      PART B: looks at how we will develop services over the next 5 years.  The section looks separately at each service user group that Supporting People provide services for and also outlines some of the issues that cut across all, or a number of, service user groups.

3.      PART C: gives more information about the processes and policies that have been developed to deliver the Programme in Nottinghamshire, for example our approach to the monitoring and review of services and our plans for consultation and service user involvement.

4.      PART D: combines the separate information for each service user group contained within Part B into a plan of actions for the 5 years covered by the Strategy.

The Strategy is available on this website either as a whole document or in parts.  We have also produced a Summary Document and a more detailed guide to the Strategy.  You can find all these documents below.

There is also some guidance specifically relating to  Housing Related Support Definitions and Eligibility for SP Grant in Supported Living for People with Learning Disabilities.
